I've known about the dvd release of Brisco County Junior for a while. I have just learned that Jack of All Trades is also (by all appearances but not officially) coming out. It is tempting to begin a Bruce Campbell collection.

So I've been watching the He-Man dvds and it's kind of interesting what I forgot from childhood, and what I'm noticing now that I'm older. For example, the exploding "love beads" Teela keeps in her codpiece:

I've joined a website called TV Shows on DVD. They have a feature where you can indicate whether you would like to buy a show on dvd as an entire season, a best of collection, or individual episodes. The idea is you vote for which shows you want to see on dvd that aren't available now, and it's an instant survey for the people who own the shows of how many copies they'd be able to move. Here's the shows which I cast my vote for:

Animaniacs
Cybersix
Dexter's Laboratory
Hulk (1966 Animated)
Rocket Robin Hood
SeaQuest DSV
The Tick

SeaQuest is the 4th most wanted show, Animaniacs is 20th, The Tick is 35th. Sad to say Beverly Hills 90210 is in the #1 spot, I didn't realize it had so many fans who knew how to use the internet. The sad thing is that Cybersix is ranked 2264th, but the California Raisins are only 1036th. There's no justice in the world. I think everyone should join this site, vote for the Tick and Cybersix and pass it on to their friends. Of course, the position of where the shows are in the list has nothing to do with what's coming out on DVD, but it would make me feel better. Freaking california raisins.

Also, my Dad isn't crazy. At least, that show that only he and I remember isn't a figment of our imaginations. It's called Insektors.
